Job Description

MasTec Advanced Technologies is currently seeking Fiber Installation Technicians to provide high-speed cable TV, phone, and internet installation services to residential (and occasionally commercial) customers. Technicians will be responsible for installing, repairing, splicing, and integrating fiber-optic cables and infrastructure. This role offers competitive wages ($22 - $24 per hour), paid training, and a clear promotion path.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Install, splice, repair, and terminate fiber-optic cables and connectors in both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, and equipment used, including generating accurate reports on work completed and documenting network configurations.
  • Apply personal ethics, honesty, initiative, flexibility, and responsibility in the performance of work assignments.
  • Ensure high-quality service to promote superior customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures in this safety-sensitive role.

Required Experience

  • Experience with fiber-optic cable installation and troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or field technician role is beneficial.
  • Ability to handle multi-tasking and work independently.
  • A valid driver’s license

Work Environment

  • This role involves both indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Technicians are required to lift 60-80 pounds and climb 28-36 foot ladders.
