Job Description

Responsible for the efficient and quality pick-up, relocation, and delivery of office equipment in a safe manner. Installation and networking of gear may be necessary during overall delivery to the customer. The driver’s professionalism directly impacts future customer purchase decisions. The position requires compliance with all federal DOT requirements and adherence to Delivery Safety Standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Safely deliver equipment to the correct location.
  • Maintain log books in accordance with DOT regulations (Electronic or manual).
  • Conduct pre and post-trip reviews to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Perform pick-ups during deliveries to minimize costs.
  • Carry out basic installations, such as setting up IP addresses and providing customer training.
  • Participate in Safety Programs and pre-call customers when applicable.
  • Achieve expected productivity levels based on assigned workload and experience.
  • Demonstrate technical skills and excellent customer relations.
  • Identify customer needs and take appropriate actions.
  • Provide constructive feedback to service and process teams.
  • Complete technical training on new equipment as required.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in driver uniform.
  • Contact Dispatch or service department when a technician is needed.
  • Ensure proper loading and securing of equipment in the vehicle.
  • Capture electronic customer signatures upon completion of transactions.
  • Ensure all paperwork is signed and processed correctly.
  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory reconciliation as required.
  • Responsible for inventory valued up to $1,000,000.
  • Overnight stays may be required.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Minimum two years of medium-duty truck driving experience.
  • On-the-job training with field technicians at customer locations or transfer centers.
  • Safe driving record and history.
  • Pass a road Test

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  •  Must maintain valid driver's license in accordance with company policy.
  • Valid and current medical card required.
  • Must be at least 20 years old and properly licensed in the current state of residence.

Working Conditions

  • Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling required to service equipment.
  • Physical effort required in lifting equipment weighing up to 100 pounds and moving equipment that may weigh up to 1,000 pounds.
  • Various conditions, including office, warehouse, and van/truck environments.
  • Frequent exposure to chemical solvents and cleaners.
  • Ability to work independently and interpret complex material.
