Job Description

The Delivery & Install Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery, relocation, and installation of office equipment. This role may also require basic networking and installation of devices, as well as providing customer training on the equipment being delivered. The driver must meet all federal DOT requirements and adhere to delivery safety standards. This position offers a salary range of $24.00-$25.00 per hour.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Safely deliver equipment to the correct location.
  • Maintain log books in accordance with DOT regulations (Electronic or manual).
  • Perform pre and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the vehicle is safe, clean, and compliant with DOT and state laws.
  • Pick up products during deliveries to minimize costs.
  • Perform basic equipment installations, including setting up IP addresses, downloading print drivers, and backing up or uploading customer data.
  • Provide basic customer training on printing standalone and network devices.
  • Participate in safety programs and achieve productivity targets.
  • Communicate with customers, pre-call when applicable, and provide feedback on networking and installation issues.
  • Ensure equipment is configured correctly to documentation provided (Bill of Lading, traveler, etc.).
  • Safely load and secure equipment in the vehicle.
  • Capture electronic customer signatures upon delivery completion.
  • Maintain professional appearance and follow safety procedures.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
  • Help train new delivery drivers and ensure proper equipment handling.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (forklift, stair climber, pallet jack) as needed.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Safe driving record and history.
  • Minimum of two years of medium-duty truck driving experience.
  • On-the-job training with field technicians.
  • Experience with network installations and technical training.
  • Ability to handle oversized and heavy equipment.
  • Be at least 20 years of age, properly licensed in his or her current state of residence.

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must maintain valid driver's license in accordance with company policy.
  • Current medical card.
  • Must be at least 20 years of age and meet other FMCSR eligibility requirements.

Working Conditions

  • Frequent physical activity including stooping, bending, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
  • May involve handling equipment weighing up to 1,000 lbs.
  • Work may take place in office, warehouse, and vehicle environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Exposure to chemical solvents and cleaners.
  • Independent work is often required.
  • Overnight stays may be required during peak periods or based on DOT regulations.
