Job Description

The Field Representative II services and repairs a variety of company products and systems at customer locations within a specific geographic area.  The Technology Service Support Representative is skilled in managing a full workload in both standalone and networked environments.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Achieves expected productivity levels associated with assigned workload and experience.
  • Manages territory, inventory, and customer relationships.
  • Demonstrates excellent technical and customer relation skills.
  • Actively drives revenue opportunities through supply leads, contract sales, and equipment assessments.
  • Performs diagnostics, installation, removal, and retrofits on assigned equipment.
  • Conducts Basic Connected installations and provides customer training on printing functions.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs or replaces equipment components as needed.
  • Completes technical training on new equipment as assigned.
  • Maintains and manages own parts inventory accurately.
  • Adheres to territory back-up plans and completes administrative tasks timely.
  • Interacts with customers to determine service needs and ensure satisfaction.
  • Provides technical assistance to less experienced technicians.
  • Responsible for maintaining a "car stock" inventory and performing other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Typically requires journeyman-level technical knowledge gained through completion of technical school and 2+ years of related experience.
  • Valid state driver's license and minimum level of auto insurance coverage required due to extensive use of personal vehicle.

Required Education

  • Completion of technical school.

Working Conditions

  • Works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation.
  • Extensive daily travel required between customer locations, including walking in various weather conditions.
  • Exposure to minor cuts, burns, and chemical solvents; may require shift work, overtime, and on-call duties.
  • Physical demands include moving objects weighing up to 400 pounds and lifting up to 50 pounds.
