Job Description

This position requires advanced level technology skills to work independently, providing strategic analysis and consultative support for servicing, maintaining, repairing, and developing solutions for a wide variety of company products and services.

Primary Responsibilities

Technical

  • Perform advanced solutions skill services, including configuring, installing, troubleshooting, networking, maintaining, and training on a wide variety of products and services.
  • Act as a consultant/strategic professional, solving high-end product and repetitive problems/issues.
  • Lead others in technical problem-solving efforts, demonstrating leadership in handling complex situations.
  • Proactively seek volume-building opportunities to increase utilization of Ricoh equipment, supplies, and services.
  • Assemble, adjust, maintain, and share expertise on products according to specifications and relevant documentation.

Customer Services

  • Understand and promote Ricoh's support functions and offerings, anticipating and managing customer needs.
  • Manage own time and schedule while assisting others with multiple solutions.
  • Maintain productive, professional relationships with all customers and Ricoh personnel.

Manage Workload

  • Execute all required workload management and call handling procedures effectively.
  • Provide customer training, equipment observation, and solution presentations for improved methods.

Administrative

  • Maintain a full workload, meeting response times, repair times, quality objectives, and cost control metrics.
  • Comply with all company policies and complete administrative tasks accurately and timely.
  • Maintain required logs, processes, and reports, and account for all time and activity.

Results

  • Achieve expected productivity levels associated with assigned workload and experience.
  • Participate in Ricoh Extra Value program opportunities and bill accordingly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Requires a valid state driver's license and minimum level of auto insurance coverage per Ricoh policy.
  • Experience involving computers, electronics, mechanics, basic networking, and printing software applications is desired.

Required Education

  • High school diploma required.
  • Completion of classes related to technology and services as defined by the manager.

Working Conditions

  • Extensive daily travel in an automobile between customer locations is usually required.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
  • May require moving objects up to 400 pounds and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling are required to service equipment.
  • Shift work, overtime, stand-by, and/or on-call may be required.
