Job Description
The Blade Technician I position in Brighton, CO offers a full-time opportunity to contribute to the repair and refurbishment of wind turbine components. With a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery, you will work on tasks such as basic repairs and maintenance of turbine blades. This position offers a competitive salary range of $26.40 to $28.50 per hour, along with excellent benefits, including dental, vision, PTO, and a 401(k) plan with employer match. The schedule alternates between Monday-Thursday (5:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.) and Tuesday-Friday (5:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ability to see and hear alarms, timers, and follow verbal instructions.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the task.
- Tolerate an environment where chemicals and materials are used within OSHA guidelines.
- Work at a pace in accordance with a takt plan while maintaining safety and quality.
- Complete basic repairs and in-process repairs under supervision, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate.
- Travel may be required.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of complex composite repair experience.
- Experience working with Epoxy and Polyester resins, wet lay-up, and vacuum bag techniques.
- Familiarity with handling balsa and foam core materials.
- Knowledge of fiberglass reinforcement and structural repair.
- Experience using powered hand tools safely and effectively.
- Established work history, preferably in manufacturing.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and work well as part of a team.
- Ability to read complex technical drawings and follow production work instructions.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of on-the-job training may substitute for experience requirements.
