As a Logistics Team Member at Vestas, you will play a key role in the sustainable energy sector by receiving, storing, and distributing materials to meet internal customer needs. This full-time position offers a pay rate of $21.25 per hour, along with a $3 shift differential for night shifts. You may also earn overtime by working occasional Friday shifts. The schedule includes Monday through Thursday, with night shifts from 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM and day shifts from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Primary Responsibilities

• Safety First: Maintain a safe work area by following all safety rules and procedures.
• 5S Activities: Participate in 5S activities to ensure an organized workspace.
• Material Handling: Read and interpret production schedules, customer orders, and shipping orders to determine items to be moved or distributed.
• Efficient Distribution: Transport materials from receiving or production areas to storage or designated areas.
• Organized Storage: Sort and place materials according to predetermined sequences.
• FIFO System: Implement first-in, first-out (FIFO) storage practices.
• Order Fulfillment: Fill requisitions and distribute materials to production workers.
• Order Assembly: Assemble customer orders and convey them to packing or shipping departments.
• Inventory Management: Record amounts of materials received or distributed and maintain inventory records.
• Adaptability: Learn new processes and adapt to changing assignments.
• Process Improvement: Contribute ideas for process improvements.
• Compliance: Handle hazardous materials in compliance with regulations.
• Team Collaboration: Work constructively with team members to meet production goals.
• Documentation: Use computers for record-keeping and inventory management.
• Transport: Drive vehicles for transporting stored items as needed.
• Mail Preparation: Prepare parcels for mailing and complete requisition forms.

Required Experience

• Must have 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Intermediate computer skills, particularly with Microsoft programs.
• Valid State Driver's License.

Required Education

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Work Environment

• The position requires the ability to regularly lift and move 30 lbs, climb stairs, and operate heavy equipment safely while adhering to all relevant legislation and safety protocols. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn for the duration of tasks.
