Job Description
This position requires advanced technology skills to provide strategic analysis and consultative support for the service, maintenance, repair, and development of solutions for a variety of company production printing products and services. Responsibilities also include supporting new business functions and other solutions as assigned.
Primary Responsibilities
Technical
- Perform advanced services such as configuring, installing, troubleshooting, networking, maintaining, and training on a variety of products and services.
- Act as a consultant/strategic professional, solving high-end product issues and repetitive problems.
- Lead technical or problem-sharing efforts and instruct others on processes.
- Proactively identify opportunities to increase the utilization of Ricoh equipment, supplies, and services.
- Assemble, adjust, and maintain products according to specifications, sharing expertise on equipment operations.
Customer Services
- Promote Ricoh’s support functions and anticipate customer needs across various levels.
- Manage your time and schedule effectively while assisting others with workload management.
- Maintain productive and professional relationships with customers and Ricoh personnel.
Manage Workload
- Execute all workload management and call handling procedures efficiently.
- Provide customer training, observe equipment and workflows, and present solutions to improve methods.
Administrative
- Maintain a full workload and meet response times, repair times, and quality objectives.
- Comply with company policies and complete administrative tasks accurately and on time.
- Account for all time and activity by recording information in the proper tracking system.
- Maintain a "car stock" and/or customer on-site inventory as needed.
Results
- Achieve expected productivity levels based on assigned workload and experience level.
- Participate in Ricoh Extra Value program opportunities and bill accordingly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Requires a valid state driver's license and the minimum auto insurance coverage per Ricoh policy for roles involving extensive travel.
- Experience with computers, electronics, mechanics, basic networking, and printing software applications is desirable.
- Must meet the requirements listed in Ricoh's Technology Services Training Role Inventory and Certification Program for the assigned role.
Required Education
- High school diploma required.
- Additional coursework or training in computers, electronics, mechanics, networking, or printing software is a plus.
Work Environment
- Working Conditions
- Extensive daily travel by automobile between customer locations is required.
- May require travel on foot in urban areas, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
- Must be able to move objects up to 400 pounds and lift/carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling may be required to service equipment.
- Requires dexterity for tasks like using a calculator, keyboard, and hand tools.
- Shift work, overtime, on-call duties, and stand-by may be required.
- Work may be subject to stress from deadlines, performance expectations, and high service call volumes.
