Job Description
The Installation Associate will deliver, install, and remove a wide variety of appliances in commercial and residential settings. This role offers a starting pay range of $20.31–$30.46 per hour, based on experience, plus incentive bonus potential. Ferguson provides full company-paid training, excellent benefits, work-life balance, and opportunities for career advancement. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with overtime as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform basic appliance installation with a willingness to learn custom installations (training provided).
- Handle and install basic gas and electric household appliances (washers, dryers, ranges, refrigerators) accurately and damage-free.
- Ensure appliances are installed to manufacturer specifications and fully functional.
- Interact professionally and courteously with builders, designers, and customers on-site.
- Attend company-paid installation training seminars and certifications.
- Fulfill driver duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- 1+ years of experience in appliance delivery and installation preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to deliver “white glove service.”
- Mechanical skills with willingness to learn.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Required Education
- Valid state-issued driver’s license.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Possession of or ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to lift 70+ lbs frequently and 90+ lbs occasionally with assistance of lifting equipment (stair climber, oven lifts, air sled).
- Pre-employment drug and background screening required.
Work Environment
- Full-time role with both commercial and residential site visits.
- Physical demands include frequent lifting, bending, and use of equipment for moving heavy appliances.
