Job Description

Clean Earth is seeking a Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our team at our Detroit, MI location. This full-time role offers competitive pay, with health benefits, 401k, and other great perks starting on Day 1. The ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, and be committed to maintaining fleet safety and compliance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet vehicles, ensuring timely and accurate completion of repairs.
  • Keep records of repairs and inspections as per company regulations.
  • Anticipate routine maintenance requirements and coordinate vehicle downtime with the Operations Team.
  • Coordinate outside vendor repairs when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform occasional roadside assistance in the Metropolitan Detroit area when needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned or requested.

Required Experience:

  • Certified mechanic by the State of Michigan.
  • Previous experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule.
  • CDL Class A with Haz-Mat and Tanker endorsements preferred but not required.
  • Ability to complete pre-hire requisites, including a physical, drug screen, and background check.

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or GED.
