Job Description

The Mailroom and Print Specialist provides direct hands-on support within a legal office environment. Responsibilities include various office support tasks such as copying, production, scanning, faxing, mailing, and shipping. The role demands a high level of presentation skills, interpersonal etiquette, and customer service, particularly when interacting with senior attorneys, partners, and clients. The salary range for this position is $17.69 to $26.88.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Understand client matter workflow, including chargeback processes for work and supplies.
  • Familiarity with legal technologies and software, including document management systems.
  • Assist with scheduling equipment and supplies for offsite trials.
  • Provide professional support to legal assistants, paralegals, and partners.
  • Operate high-volume copy machines, fax services, and postal equipment.
  • Handle time-sensitive and confidential documents.
  • Maintain logs for billing and job tracking.
  • Distribute incoming mail and packages, including office supplies.
  • Assist with filing, scanning, and document management tasks.
  • Perform quality checks on copiers and respond to equipment issues.
  • Maintain organized meeting and conference rooms.
  • Support facilities with moves and light maintenance duties.
  • May require overtime for urgent needs.

Required Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years of related work experience.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 2 years' experience in the legal industry.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • High school diploma or GED.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent exposure to copier/fax machine noise and toner.
  • Potential for paper cuts and exposure to varying weather conditions during inter-office travel.
  • High-stress environment due to tight deadlines and quick turnaround times.
  • Physical effort may include standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and moving equipment (up to 400 lbs.).
