The Field Specialist is responsible for servicing and repairing a variety of office equipment at customer locations within a specific geographic area. This role may also involve Team Lead or Coordinator responsibilities. Candidates are required to have at least one Industry Certification.

Primary Responsibilities

• Specializes in servicing and repairing complex office products.
• Manages territory, inventory, and customer relationships.
• Provides 2nd level technical support to other technicians.
• Drives revenue-generating opportunities through various leads.
• Works with minimal supervision while demonstrating technical expertise.
• Performs diagnostics, installations, and repairs on office equipment.
• Conducts on-the-job training for new and experienced technicians.
• Maintains productive customer relationships and ensures high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Completes administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
• Handles difficult customer situations and serves as a communication link for unresolved technical issues.

Required Experience

• Typically requires 3+ years of related experience, including at least 2 years as a Technology Service Consultant I.
• One Industry Certification is required, along with sustained performance levels over at least 2 years.
• Valid state driver's license and minimum auto insurance coverage are required for extensive travel.

Required Education

• Completion of a technical school program is preferred.

Working Conditions

• The position typically involves working in an office environment with adequate lighting, ventilation, and normal temperature ranges.
• Extensive daily travel by automobile is required, and walking within urban areas may also be necessary.
• Regular exposure to conditions that could result in minor cuts and burns; frequent exposure to chemical solvents and cleaners.
• Shift work, overtime, and on-call duties may be required.
