Job Description

Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Showroom Sales Consultant - Appliances. This is a commission-eligible role, with an estimated total annual compensation ranging from $60,000 to $90,000. The schedule is Monday through Friday (8 am to 5 pm), with some overtime as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with customers, including builders, designers, and homeowners, to sell a wide range of products including appliances, high-end fixtures, lighting, and more.
  • Respond to inquiries with accurate pricing, inventory, and delivery information.
  • Greet guests upon arrival in the retail showroom, learn their motivation for visiting, and develop lasting customer relationships.
  • Prepare job quotations and submittals.
  • Assist customers by appointment and walk-ins, utilizing suggestive sales techniques and handling complaints in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Continually improve sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field.

Required Experience

  • 1 year of appliance sales experience is required.
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to engage with a wide range of customers with varying levels of product knowledge.
  • An understanding of basic design and interior decorating is a plus.
  • Ability to utilize a consultative sales approach to recommend solutions tailored to customer needs.
