Job Description

Responsible for the efficient and quality pick-up, relocation, and delivery of office equipment in a safe manner. Installation and networking of gear may be necessary during delivery. The quality and professionalism of the driver can significantly impact future customer purchase decisions. Basic training on the devices being delivered is required. This position requires compliance with all federal DOT requirements and Delivery Safety Standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure equipment is safely delivered to the correct location.
  • Maintain log books in accordance with DOT regulations (electronic or manual).
  • Conduct pre and post trip reviews; ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness.
  • Perform product pick-up during delivery to minimize costs.
  • Execute basic installations, including setting up IP addresses and downloading print drivers.
  • Participate in safety programs and pre-call customers when applicable.
  • Achieve expected productivity levels based on workload and experience.
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills and excellent customer relations.
  • Identify customer needs and refer calls as necessary.
  • Provide feedback on networking and installation initiatives.
  • Maintain professional appearance in driver uniform.
  • Contact dispatch or service department if technician assistance is needed.
  • Ensure equipment is configured to documentation requirements.
  • Load and secure equipment properly in the vehicle.
  • Capture electronic customer signatures upon completion of transactions.
  • Complete and process all required paperwork.
  • Conduct inventory reconciliation and report discrepancies.
  • Train new drivers on products and proper loading techniques.
  • Follow accident/incident reporting guidelines and procedures.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Required Experience:

  • Safe driving record and history.
  • Minimum of two years medium-duty truck driving experience.
  • On-the-job training with field technicians.
  • Experience with electronic GPS and maps.
  • Be at least 20 years of age, properly licensed in his or her current state of residence.

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license in accordance with company policy.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent physical activity including lifting equipment up to 100 pounds and moving heavier equipment.
  • Conditions vary, including office, warehouse, and van/truck environments.
  • Frequent exposure to chemical solvents and cleaners.
  • Ability to work independently and handle at-risk behaviors effectively.
