Job Description
KeyBank is seeking a Branch Manager in Poughquag, NY. This position offers a base salary range of $68,000 to $103,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as experience. Short-term incentive compensation is also available based on individual and company performance. The Branch Manager is responsible for leading a high-performing team, driving business growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing exceptional client service. The role also includes a strong focus on acquiring and expanding small business relationships within the local community.
Primary Responsibilities

Deliver an exceptional client experience and foster a culture of service.

Engage in community outreach and small business development.

Lead branch sales and service efforts to meet or exceed goals.

Recruit, hire, onboard, and train branch staff.

Coach and manage performance to develop a successful team.

Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and internal policies.

Collaborate with internal partners and Centers of Influence (COIs) to deepen client relationships.

Manage scheduling, staffing, and daily branch operations.

Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to all company policies.
Required Experience
-
Minimum 3 years in a sales role with leadership and coaching responsibilities.

Minimum 3 years of experience with small business deposit/credit and operations.

Understanding of financial statements and credit concepts.

Experience leveraging COIs and influencing business partners.

Strong communication and public speaking skills.
Required Education

High School Diploma or GED (required)

Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
Work Environment

Frequent face-to-face and phone communication with clients.

Regular use of hands and occasional lifting (1–30 lbs.).

Occasional travel with potential overnight stays.

Must have the ability to operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license.
