Job Description
Services and repairs a variety of company products and systems at customer locations within a specific geographic area. This role includes a salary range of $23.00-$23.50 per hour.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Achieves expected productivity levels associated with assigned workload and level of experience.
- Manages territory, inventory, and customer relationships.
- Demonstrates excellent technical and customer relation skills.
- Actively drives revenue-generating opportunities through supply leads, contract sales, network support contract leads, and equipment assessments.
- Performs diagnostics, installation, removal, and retrofits on assigned equipment.
- Conducts Basic Connected installations, sets up IP addresses, downloads printer drivers, and provides customer training.
- Troubleshoots and repairs or replaces components on B&W, color, and multifunctional devices.
- Completes technical training on new equipment as assigned.
- Executes territory management and call handling procedures effectively.
- Works closely with sales partners to maximize equipment leads and upgrade opportunities.
- Maintains own parts inventory accurately and adheres to territory back-up plans.
- Completes required administrative tasks in a timely manner.
- Complies with all company policies.
- Interacts with customers to determine service needs and ensure satisfaction.
- Provides technical assistance to less experienced technicians.
- Maintains professional appearance and demeanor.
- Maintains productive relationships with company personnel.
- Responsible for maintaining a "car stock" inventory.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
- Typically requires journeyman level technical knowledge gained through completion of technical school and 2+ years of related experience.
- Requires a valid state driver's license and minimum level of auto insurance coverage as position involves extensive use of personal car for company business.
Required Education:
- Completion of technical school.
Working Conditions:
- Works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and normal temperature and noise levels.
- Requires extensive daily travel by automobile and, if assigned to a "walking territory," significant foot travel in various weather conditions.
- Regular exposure to conditions that could result in minor cuts and burns; frequent exposure to chemical solvents and cleaners.
- May require shift work, overtime, stand-by, and/or on-call responsibilities.
- Daily internal contact with service call center and parts department.
- Frequent external contact with customers for investigating and resolving equipment issues.
- Physical effort is required to move objects weighing up to 400 pounds and to lift/carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requires frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling to service equipment at floor level.
- A high level of dexterity is required for using a variety of hand tools.
