Job Description

This position requires advanced technology skills to independently provide strategic analysis and consultative support in servicing, maintaining, repairing, and developing solutions for a variety of company products and services. The role also includes involvement in new business and various support functions as developed or assigned.

Primary Responsibilities
Technical

  • Perform advanced solutions services including configuring, installing, troubleshooting, networking, maintaining, and training on products and services within the assigned area of expertise.
  • Act as a consultant and solve high-end product and repetitive issues.
  • Lead others in technical problem-solving efforts, demonstrating leadership and instructing on processes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for increasing the utilization of Ricoh equipment, supplies, and services.
  • Assemble, adjust, maintain, and share expertise on products according to specifications and relevant documentation.

Customer Service

  • Understand and promote Ricoh's support functions and anticipate customer needs at all levels.
  • Manage personal time and schedule, and assist others in supporting multiple solutions and schedules.
  • Maintain productive and professional relationships with customers and Ricoh personnel.

Manage Workload

  • Execute workload management and call handling procedures according to field call management requirements.
  • Provide services including customer training, equipment and workflow observation, and solution presentation for improved methods.

Administrative

  • Maintain a full workload, meeting response times, repair times, quality objectives, and cost control metrics.
  • Comply with all company policies and complete administrative tasks accurately and on time.
  • Complete logs, reports, and track time and activity through proper systems.
  • Maintain customer on-site inventory or "car stock" as assigned.

Results

  • Achieve productivity levels in line with workload expectations and experience.
  • Actively participate in Ricoh Extra Value program opportunities and bill accordingly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Requires a valid state driver's license and minimum auto insurance coverage per Ricoh policy for roles involving significant use of a personal vehicle.
  • Experience involving computers, electronics, mechanics, networking, and printing software applications is desired.
  • Completion of technology services training and certification program as defined by the manager.

Required Education

  • High school diploma required.

Working Conditions

  • Extensive daily travel between customer locations, with possible travel by foot in urban areas and various weather conditions.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Physical demands include moving objects up to 400 pounds, lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Shift work, overtime, and on-call duties may be required.
  • The work environment may involve stress due to deadlines and performance expectations.
