Job Description

The End of Line Tester position involves performing tests on commercial HVAC systems to ensure they meet quality and production standards. The role requires troubleshooting and repairing defects, along with ensuring all units are built to work order and engineering specifications. This is a full-time position working in a day shift from Wednesday to Saturday, 6 am to 6 pm. The pay rate for this position is $24.00 per hour. HVAC certification and a 608 Universal EPA Refrigerant license are required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the work of co-workers to ensure production standards and schedules are met.
  • Train new employees and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Ensure parts are available and meet production schedules.
  • Operate recovery and reclaims machines to remove Freon before fixing leaks.
  • Operate test units from production lines and verify they meet engineering specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair defects in test units.
  • Perform activities such as wiring, brazing, and assembly as required.
  • Charge units with Freon and check for leaks.
  • Coordinate activities with employees and other departments to ensure timely delivery of units.

Required Experience:

  • 0-5 years of industry experience or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Required Education:

  • Vocational/Technical Training or equivalent. Additional education is a plus.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registration Requirements:

  • 608 Universal EPA Refrigerant license is required.

Work Environment:

  • The position requires frequent visits to a manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and exposure to some chemical fumes.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent climbing, stooping, and sitting for prolonged periods.
