Job Description

The Field Representative II is responsible for servicing and repairing various company products and systems at customer locations within a designated geographic area. This position involves troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of equipment, as well as managing customer relationships and territories. Candidates with the desired technical skills or willingness to learn will be trained to meet the position's demands.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Achieve productivity levels based on assigned workload and experience.
  • Manage territory, inventory, and customer relationships effectively.
  • Perform diagnostics, installation, repairs, and retrofits on equipment.
  • Set up IP addresses, install printer drivers, and provide customer training.
  • Troubleshoot and repair B&W, color, and multifunctional devices.
  • Maintain parts inventory and manage territory efficiently.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to generate leads and drive revenue.
  • Interact with customers to assess service needs and ensure satisfaction.
  • Provide technical assistance to less experienced technicians.
  • Ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Desired technical knowledge at a journeyman level, typically obtained through technical school and 2+ years of related experience.
  • Valid state driver's license and required auto insurance, as the role involves extensive use of a personal vehicle for business purposes.

Required Education:

  • Completion of technical school or equivalent experience is preferred, but not required.

Working Conditions:

  • Typically works in an office environment with normal lighting, ventilation, temperature, and noise levels.
  • Extensive daily travel in a personal vehicle between customer locations is required.
  • Requires travel in various weather conditions and may require travel by foot in urban areas.
  • Exposure to minor cuts, burns, chemical solvents, and cleaners is possible.
  • Shift work, overtime, on-call, and stand-by may be required.
  • Requires frequent physical activity, including lifting objects up to 50 pounds and moving objects on wheels up to 400 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling is required to service equipment at floor level.
  • Regular use of hand tools and testing equipment requires fine motor skills.
