Job Description
Join BNSF as an Engineering Management Trainee and earn a salary of $70,200. This full-time position is designed for individuals pursuing or having recently obtained an Associate degree. The role includes a comprehensive 6-month training program, blending hands-on fieldwork with strategic oversight in a 24x7 operations environment.
Legally authorized to work in the United States and will be at least eighteen (18) years old upon hire.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, repair, and construct track infrastructure, including rails, ties, and ballast.
- Plan and schedule maintenance and repairs, ensuring quality control.
- Oversee projects involving the expansion of terminals and facilities, and manage public projects and utility crossings.
- Ensure the safety of team members and manage project finances and schedules.
- Shadow various engineering positions to gain practical experience.
Required Experience:
- Less than three (3) years of professional work experience, excluding internships or part-time roles.
- Preferred: Internship experience in related fields such as Welding, Diesel Engine Repair, HVAC, Electrical, or Automotive.
Required Education:
- Pursuing or have obtained an Associate degree in an industrial trade (e.g., Welding, Diesel Engine Repair, HVAC, Automotive Tech, Construction Management) from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 2.75.
Working Conditions:
- Daily work conducted in an indoor/outdoor safety-sensitive environment, with exposure to diverse weather conditions, noise, and heavy machinery.
