Job Description
This position offers a $1000 Sign ON BONUS for new Ricoh team members. The Delivery & Install Driver is responsible for the efficient and quality pick-up, relocation, and delivery of office equipment in a safe manner. Installation and networking of equipment may be necessary during delivery to customers. The professionalism of the driver directly impacts customer purchase decisions, and basic training on the delivered devices will be provided. All federal DOT requirements must be met, including delivery safety standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure safe delivery of equipment to the correct location.
- Maintain log books in accordance with DOT regulations (electronic or manual).
- Conduct pre and post-trip reviews of the vehicle to ensure safety and cleanliness, complying with all DOT and state laws.
- Perform pick-ups of products concurrently with deliveries to minimize costs.
- Execute basic connected installations, including setting up IP addresses and downloading print drivers.
- Participate in safety programs and pre-call customers when applicable.
- Achieve expected productivity levels based on workload and experience.
- Demonstrate excellent technical and customer relation skills.
- Provide constructive feedback regarding networking and installation initiatives.
- Complete technical training on new equipment as required.
- Maintain a professional appearance in driver uniform.
- Contact dispatch or service departments when technicians are needed.
- Ensure equipment is configured as per documentation provided.
- Securely load and unload trucks as necessary.
- Train new delivery drivers on products and proper loading techniques.
- Follow all accident and incident reporting guidelines.
- Conduct cycle counts and inventory reconciliation when required.
- Responsible for managing an inventory value of up to $1,000,000.
- Overnight stays may be required.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Minimum two years of medium-duty truck driving experience.
- Safe driving record and history.
- On-the-job training with field technicians at customer locations or transfer centers.
- Eligibility to drive a commercial vehicle per FMCSR regulations.
- Pass a road Test
- Minimum two years of medium-duty truck driving experience is required.
Required Education
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (if applicable per state).
- Valid medical card required.
- Must be at least 20 years of age and properly licensed in the current state of residence.
- On line technical training focused on networking and installation
Working Conditions
- Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling required to service equipment.
- Physical effort required to lift equipment weighing up to 100 pounds, with some equipment weighing up to 1000 pounds.
- Diverse work assignments in various conditions including office, warehouse, and vehicle environments.
- Frequent exposure to chemical solvents and cleaners.
- Ability to work independently is essential.
- Ability to read maps and electronic GPS
