Job Description

Our Factory Specialist supports the production lines, equipment, and facility by providing troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities. The abilities and skills required are broad-based, including electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on all production machinery, testers, and facility systems and equipment as needed.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools, testers, and shop power tools to accomplish maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, production, and maintenance associates to resolve equipment issues and repairs.
  • Provide written documentation and reports as requested.
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and communicate with other supervisors to coordinate repair activities with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Train or instruct others on technical issues and equipment operation as needed.
  • Overtime may be required to meet production demands, including weekends when necessary.

Required Experience:

  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints and schematics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience.

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Completion of a 2-year industrial electronic course from a reputable school is preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to use hands to handle, finger, feel, talk, or hear.
  • Frequently required to walk and stand; occasionally required to sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Must be able to perform work from ladders and manlift equipment.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include the ability to adjust focus and read prints, schematics, and part numbers.
