Job Description

Immediate opportunities are available for talented Machine Operators to join the Johnson Controls team at our Wichita, KS manufacturing facility. We are hiring for ALL shifts to meet high demand. 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently (ACC, Safan, Brake Press, SG, Plasma), including inspection and routine maintenance. 
  • Fabricate piece parts using schematics. 
  • Assemble piece parts into the final product. 
  • Participate in ongoing training with machining equipment, tools, duties, and new projects. 
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and daily maintenance of the department. 
  • Notify leadership of any unsafe conditions, practices, and/or procedures observed. 
  • Move materials using a forklift or overhead crane, if trained and authorized. 
  • Perform other duties as required. 

 

Required Experience 

  • Minimum of 3-6 months of machine operator experience preferred (ACC, Safan, Brake Press, SG, and/or Plasma). 
  • Ability to read blueprints and program machining equipment to produce required parts. 
  • Experience using metalworking manipulation machinery (brake, shear, saw, punch, etc.). 

 

Required Education 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
