Job Description & Requirements

The Financial Wellness Consultant (FWC) serves as both Banker and Teller, building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and providing solutions to support clients’ financial wellness. FWCs attract new clients while deepening existing relationships by aligning financial solutions with client goals, contributing to client confidence in their financial journey.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional client experience by being present, listening, and identifying financial wellness opportunities.
  • Conduct financial service transactions accurately while uncovering ways to expand client relationships.
  • Open personal and business accounts, including checking, deposit products, lending, and certificates of deposit.
  • Proactively acquire and deepen relationships through calling, prospecting, networking, and referrals.
  • Partner with teammates and business line partners to support client acquisition and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with operational, security, and audit policies while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Participate in huddles, debriefs, and other team activities to drive engagement and results.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience building customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and developing referral sources (required).
  • Experience with cash handling (required).
  • Proficiency with Windows-based PC applications and calculators (required).
  • Knowledge of digital platforms (mobile, apps, web) with ability to educate clients (required).
  • Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques including prospecting and networking (required).
  • Understanding of consumer credit concepts such as loan-to-value and debt-to-income ratios (preferred).
  • Notary License (preferred).

Required Education

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (required).

Work Environment / Working Conditions

  • Prolonged standing (5–8 hours/day).
  • Frequent use of hands, forward reach, and ability to communicate face-to-face and by phone.
  • Occasional bending, lifting up to 30 lbs., and frequent lifting of 1–10 lbs.
  • Occasional driving required with valid driver’s license.
