The Financial Wellness Consultant (FWC) serves as both a Banker and Teller, building client relationships through transactions, proactive calling, and personalized financial guidance. This role is focused on helping clients achieve financial wellness while expanding client relationships with KeyBank.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional client experience by listening for financial wellness opportunities and providing tailored solutions.
• Conduct financial service transactions while identifying opportunities to deepen relationships.
• Open personal and business accounts, including checking, deposits, loans, and other financial products.
• Develop partnerships with branch teammates and business partners to grow client acquisition and retention.
• Ensure compliance with operational, security, and audit policies, with proper documentation of client interactions.
• Participate in team huddles, debriefs, and occasional facilitation of discussions.
• Consistently achieve activity, behavior, and outcome expectations.

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience building client relationships, achieving sales goals, and generating referrals through tele-consulting, prospecting, or networking (required).
• Experience in cash handling (required).
• Proficiency with Windows-based applications and calculators (required).
• Knowledge of digital technology and ability to educate clients on digital platforms (required).
• Foundational understanding of sales and service techniques (required).
• Understanding of consumer credit processes (preferred).
• Notary License (preferred).

Required Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (required).

Work Environment

• Prolonged standing (5–8 hours per day).
• Frequent hand use, forward reaching, and lifting of 1–10 lbs.; occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to communicate face-to-face and by phone with clients.
• May occasionally operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license.
