Primary Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and/or installation work on assigned wind turbines with minimal supervision
• Follow defined schedules, procedures, and safety protocols
• Mentor entry-level technicians as needed
• Work at heights of up to 250 feet and in confined spaces
• Climb, carry tools and equipment, and move parts to complete tasks
• Operate and understand intermediate-level power tools such as hydraulic, power torque, and diagnostic tools
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Promote and recommend safety and quality improvements

Required Experience

• At least 1 year of technical wind industry experience
• OR six (6) months of technical wind industry experience and a certificate of completion from a wind technician program
• OR a minimum of three (3) years of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, composite skills, or heavy machinery experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience using Flukemeter functions and hydraulic pressure gauges
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with computer operations, internet-based programs, and data interpretation
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics

Required Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Environment

• Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Requires climbing to heights of up to 250 feet
• Work in confined spaces
• Physically demanding tasks including lifting, climbing, and equipment handling
