The Intermediate Shop Technician works in a production shop setting with minimal supervision, preparing and setting up copiers and other office equipment for customer delivery. This role includes troubleshooting, performing equipment repairs, and ensuring customer-specific configurations are met.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up assigned equipment, conducting operational checks and making necessary adjustments following the Supply Chain Install/Return Checklist.
• Program equipment to meet specific customer requirements as outlined in the Customer Configuration Document (CCD).
• Analyze and troubleshoot equipment failures, performing repairs as needed.
• Track hours and manage productivity by closing jobs in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Achieve productivity and quality standards set by the company.
• Maintain responsibility for tools and other company assets assigned.
• Keep workspace clean and organized to maintain a safe working environment.
• Complete all required administrative tasks accurately and on time.
• Assist in training new shop technicians on job responsibilities and best practices.
• Complete all assigned training courses.
• Adhere to all facility security and safety rules.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
• Intermediate technical knowledge in mechanical, electronics, and basic computer skills.

Required Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Mechanical/electronics trade school is a plus.

Work Environment

• Typical warehouse environment with adequate lighting, ventilation, and normal temperature and noise levels.
• Requires interpretation, comprehension, and application of complex material, data, and instructions.
• Exposure to chemical solvents and cleaners.
• Frequent lifting of tool cases and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Moving objects on wheels weighing up to 700 lbs.
• Regular stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling to service equipment at floor level.
• Potential for overtime or work outside normal hours when necessary.
