Job Description & Requirements

Primary Responsibilities

Execute testing activities on railway signalling systems in line with testing procedures and under direction of project leads.

Identify and troubleshoot defects during testing.

Ensure testing tools are functional and properly calibrated.

Replace defective equipment and manage repairs per standard procedures.

Report non-conformities and design-related issues accurately using designated tools.

Ensure compliance with Alstom policies, EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) regulations, and railway safety standards.

Maintain performance targets related to quality, cost, and timelines.
Performance Measurement Criteria:
-
Proactivity and efficiency during T&C (Testing & Commissioning) test execution.

Full compliance with EHS and regulatory standards.
-
Quality of monitoring, reporting, and issue anticipation.
Specific to the Atlanta Switch Refurbishment Project:
-
Execute lab and field testing activities and document results.
-
Log issues and assist in creating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) with guidance from engineers or test leads.

Supervise and support Electrical Installers during PICO (Post Installation Check-Out).

Collaborate with customers, O&M (Operations & Maintenance) teams, and vendors.

Provide daily progress reports, update KPIs, and escalate issues to subsystem leads.
Required Experience
-
Hands-on experience in testing or commissioning of electrical or signalling systems.

Background in troubleshooting and issue resolution in a technical field.
Required Education
-
Technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field preferred.
Work Environment
-
Field and lab-based work environment.
-
Interaction with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, vendors, and customers.

Requires compliance with safety protocols and may include physical work related to installation and testing.
