Job Description & Requirements
Join Comcast as a Residential Install Technician with a starting base pay of $18.20 per hour. In this trainee role, you will acquire hands-on experience with broadband installation and troubleshooting while supporting customers in setting up and maintaining their services. Continued employment is contingent upon completion of required training, certifications, and safety standards.
Primary Responsibilities

Perform service installations and changes in compliance with safety guidelines and company procedures.

Update customer accounts to ensure accurate records of services provided.

Troubleshoot service issues and resolve customer concerns using sound judgment.

Educate and engage customers on Comcast products and services.

Use tools and equipment, including climbing poles, ladders, and bucket trucks.

Lift and carry up to 70 lbs.; work in confined spaces and elevated locations.

Maintain and drive a company vehicle safely in various weather conditions.

Operate hand tools and manipulate wiring and connectors.

Provide professional, courteous, and proactive customer service.

Participate in company training, safety programs, and achieve all required certifications.

Maintain regular attendance and flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Experience
-
0–2 years of related experience.

Prior technical or customer service experience is a plus.
Required Education

High school diploma or GED.
Work Environment

Work may occur in various settings including rooftops, crawlspaces, and construction zones.

Exposure to moderate noise levels, animals, and public areas.

Regular physical activity including climbing, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

Vision requirements include close and peripheral vision with ability to adjust focus.
Pay

Base Pay: $18.20/hour
Additional compensation opportunities may be available based on performance, commission plans (where applicable), and eligibility for Comcast’s comprehensive benefits package.
