Job Description & Requirements

Clean Earth is offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus and a starting salary of $28/hr for experienced CDL B drivers. With overtime opportunities, drivers can earn in excess of $61,000 - $66,000/year. This full-time position includes travel with 2–3 overnights per month, with paid hotel expenses and nightly per diem.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Pick up and transport waste safely in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Label containers and complete pre-printed manifests/work orders.

  • Schedule shipments to or from site.

  • Process and prepare hazardous waste documentation including manifests, bills of lading, and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs).

  • Maintain regular contact with customers and personnel at all levels.

  • Operate hand trucks, forklifts, or other heavy equipment.

Required Experience

  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License.

  • Minimum age of 21 (required by law).

  • At least two of the following endorsements: Air Brakes, Hazmat, Tanker. The third may be obtained at company expense upon hiring.

  • Preferred: TWIC Card and experience driving box trucks.

  • Preferred: Some college or prior waste industry experience.

  • Knowledge of DOT and environmental regulations.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Must maintain a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).

  • Must pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check.

Required Education

  • High school diploma or GED.

Work Environment

  • Requires 2–3 overnight trips per month.

  • Paid hotel accommodations and nightly per diem provided for overnight stays.
