The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment, both powered and non-powered. This role requires proficiency in warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and report any needed repairs to management.
• Perform C-TPAT compliance inspections and documentation for all international shipments.

Operations

• Utilize RF equipment to accurately process inbound (receiving), outbound (shipping), and internal orders.
• Ensure all transactions are accurate in terms of items and quantities.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy and quality assurance inspections.
• Provide backup support for other departments through cross-training.
• Consolidate stock to improve inventory performance and maximize warehouse space.

Quality Assurance

• Inspect and QA all outbound freight to ensure correct items and quantities, preventing damage during transit.
• Palletize and load shipments securely.
• Inspect all inbound freight for quantity and damage, completing appropriate documentation.

Team Support

• Assist team leads with onboarding new employees.
• Follow Standard Work Instructions for department operations.
• Maintain company 5S standards throughout assigned work areas.

Required Experience

• Minimum of three years of warehouse experience, with at least one year of stand-up forklift experience.
• Previous forklift certification (Reach, Dock Stocker, Sit-down Forklift).
• Experience using RF scanners.

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Ability to take direction and complete work assignments within established timelines.
• Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.
• High attention to detail to prevent injury and property damage.
• Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Work Environment

• Warehouse environment with adequate lighting, ventilation, and normal temperature/noise levels.
• Physical effort required, including walking, standing, bending, and lifting materials up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to move objects on wheels up to 700 lbs.
