Job Description & Requirements
As a full-time Product Introduction (PI) Technician at Alstom, you will troubleshoot Alstom products at customer sites, ensuring optimal availability. You will also provide technical expertise to subcontractors, the warranty support team, and project members, as well as mentor less experienced field operators. The salary for this role is $37/hour.
Primary Responsibilities
- Comply with Alstom and customer EHS policies and procedures at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and repair products during the PI period, pre-warranty, and commissioning activities.
- Conduct fleet check activities and report deviations in the Failure Management database.
- Support technical investigations in collaboration with Engineering or suppliers.
- Ensure effective information flow within the Troubleshooting and Customer Site Warranty team.
- Assist with helpdesk activities when required.
- Implement Field Modifications (FM) as necessary.
- Contribute to the Return of Experience through recommendations for preventive and corrective actions and suggestions for product enhancements.
- Provide feedback to PI management on customer satisfaction and product performance.
Required Experience
- Minimum of two years in technical roles related to mechanical or electrical/electronics applications.
- Field experience demonstrating a structured, organized, hands-on approach.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to solve problems effectively.
Required Education
- A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical/electronic, and IT fields.
- Completion of internal EHS training.
- Fluent English communication skills.
