Job Description & Requirements


The Maintenance Team is responsible for assisting in the administration and maintenance of Vestas tools and equipment, conducting reporting/inspection procedures, and supporting day-to-day maintenance initiatives within factory locations. The team installs, inspects, tests, repairs, adjusts, and calibrates instruments and machines essential for manufacturing turbine components.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain production machines and factory equipment.
  • Coordinate the work order process and workflow optimization.
  • Ensure completion of work orders and equipment tracking forms daily.
  • Maintain the EAM database for new and existing equipment and preventive maintenance (PM) schedules.
  • Facilitate and manage tool calibrations, ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Create requisitions in SAP for tools, equipment, new parts, instruments, and supplies.
  • Allocate team resources to support timely execution of work orders.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Inspect and test shop equipment and repaired instruments to ensure compliance with quality control standards.
  • Track process indicators, spare parts/labor consumption, and equipment performance.
  • Act as the first point of contact with equipment suppliers for quotes, orders, and troubleshooting support.
  • Host suppliers on-site while adhering to Vestas safety procedures.
  • Provide the Department Manager with equipment status reports, including routine maintenance and damage assessments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in maintenance or equivalent training.
  • Experience in a manufacturing plant, chemical plant, or refinery maintenance is preferred.
  • Experience with repairing and maintaining processing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic prints and symbols.
  • Understanding of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • Salary Range: $25.50 - $35.50/Hour

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, and travel to other locations, including remote sites. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
