The Wind Turbine Technician II role offers a $2,500 Sign-On Bonus (eligibility requirements apply, please speak with a Vestas representative for details). This intermediate-level position provides an exciting opportunity to work in the renewable energy sector with a focus on wind turbine maintenance and installation. Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and/or installation work on assigned wind turbines under minimal supervision.
• Follow defined schedules and procedures, including safety protocols and verbal/written instructions.
• Provide mentorship to entry-level technicians as required.
• Work at heights (up to 250 feet), often in challenging weather conditions.
• Carry tools, equipment, and parts to complete maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure safety and professionalism in all work activities.
• Make recommendations to improve safety and quality of work.

Required Experience:

• At least 1 year of technical wind industry experience, OR
• Six (6) months of technical wind industry experience combined with a certificate of completion from a wind technician program, OR
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, composite skills, or heavy machinery.
• Experience with the use of intermediate-level power tools such as hydraulic, power torque, and diagnostic tools (e.g., Flukemeter functions and hydraulic pressure gauge).
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand drawings and schematics.

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer operation skills, including the ability to navigate internet-based programs and interpret computer data.

Work Environment:

• The role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Work may require climbing, carrying tools and equipment, and sometimes working in confined spaces.
• Safety is a top priority, including compliance with confined space and energy isolation protocols.
