Acuity Inc. is seeking an experienced Tractor/Trailer Driver to operate vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. The role requires significant travel and flexibility in scheduling.

Primary Responsibilities

• Correctly operate a tractor/trailer, including road operations, backing, and parking.

• Follow specific scheduled routes or respond to dispatcher requests for pickups/drop-offs.

• Use two-way communication systems for transmitting and receiving updates.

• Monitor traffic and weather conditions and notify dispatch of issues.

• Report accidents or safety concerns to dispatch.

• Perform DOT-required vehicle inspections at the beginning of each shift.

• Ensure vehicles are properly cleaned and fueled regularly.

• Maintain a neat and orderly vehicle interior.

• Record vehicle issues or damage on a Driver Vehicle Inspection form.

• Accurately complete trip sheets, fuel logs, and other required documentation.

• Interact with customers and others professionally and courteously.

• Perform other related duties as needed.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience.

• Clean 3-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

• Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations and rules.

• Good oral and written communication skills.

• Must possess a valid Class A license.

Work Environment

• Must be able to pass Department of Transportation and Acuity Inc. physical exams and complete alcohol/drug screening.

• Must be available for flexible working hours.

• Physical requirement: Medium work.

• Travel required: 81–100%.
