Job Description & Requirements
Provides operations functions within a legal office environment, including high-volume copy and scanning services, mail processing, equipment maintenance, and general administrative support. This role is essential in ensuring timely and secure document handling, often under tight deadlines and with high confidentiality.
Primary Responsibilities

Operate high-volume copy and scanning equipment; perform binding and finishing tasks

Handle confidential legal documents with discretion and accuracy

Conduct daily copier maintenance and quality inspections

Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and shipments
-
Maintain accurate records for job billing, supplies inventory, and meter readings
-
Respond to and coordinate service calls; ensure copier areas are stocked and clean
-
Perform filing tasks including purging, archiving, and file conversions
-
Assist with OCR tasks and management of electronic files (e.g., Table of Contents)

Deliver completed jobs within or outside the site

Support additional functions such as meeting setups, light maintenance, and shipping/receiving

Provide professional support to legal staff, including attorneys, paralegals, and secretaries

Perform other duties as assigned
Required Experience
-
Minimum of 1 year of experience in the legal industry is strongly preferred
-
Related copy job experience is preferred

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Required Education
-
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required

Completion of Ricoh Legal training within 90 days of hire
Work Environment
-
Office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, and temperature
-
Physical tasks include standing, walking, bending, stretching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Dexterity required for operating equipment and performing fine-motor tasks

Work involves interpreting and applying technical materials and managing complex assignments
