Job Description & Requirements

The Field Representative I, Services Onsite Technician is responsible for providing daily support, maintenance, and repair of Ricoh-managed devices within a designated geographic area. The role includes responding to service alerts, troubleshooting equipment, performing installations, and delivering technical training and customer support. It also involves managing parts inventory and ensuring service level agreement (SLA) compliance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Respond to service alerts and customer requests, resolving issues in line with SLAs.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, install, and replace components on Ricoh and third-party devices.

  • Utilize remote support tools to resolve technical issues.

  • Configure IP addresses, download drivers, and train customers on device use.

  • Document service calls in Ricoh OFSC and other applicable systems.

  • Manage and replenish inventory of parts and consumables.

  • Support device moves, additions, and disposals.

  • Maintain positive customer relations and technical professionalism.

  • Provide fleet status updates to the service manager.

  • Complete all administrative and technical training tasks.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Preferred: IT Help Desk support (applications and hardware).

  • Experience with computers, electronics, or mechanical systems is desirable.

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid state driver’s license and auto insurance (per company policy).

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in office and customer settings with frequent travel between sites.

  • May involve extensive walking, including in urban areas.

  • Exposure to weather conditions, chemical solvents, and potential minor injuries (cuts, burns).

  • Physical demands include lifting up to 400 lbs. with assistance, and carrying tool cases up to 50 lbs.

  • Frequent kneeling, bending, and detailed tool work on small electronic/mechanical components.

  • Requires strong interaction with customers and the ability to manage stress during high service demand.
