Job Description & Requirements
The Field Specialist, Field Services Support is responsible for providing multi-specialist solutions, including installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer training on various products and services. This position requires a high level of expertise in managing customer relationships, meeting productivity targets, and managing a full workload. Extensive travel is required, along with potential overnight stays and physical demands related to service equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform multi-specialist services including configuring, installing, troubleshooting, networking, maintaining, and training on various products and services.
- Collect, process, and analyze complex data to support service improvement.
- Proactively seek opportunities to increase utilization of Ricoh equipment and services.
- Lead and mentor as needed, demonstrating proficiency in area of expertise.
- Provide customer training, equipment observation, and solution presentations to improve workflows.
- Understand and promote Ricoh's support functions and services, ensuring customer needs are met with professionalism.
- Maintain a full workload while meeting response times, repair times, and cost control metrics.
- Complete administrative duties accurately and on time, including maintaining required logs and reports.
- Maintain "car stock" and customer on-site inventory as needed.
- Achieve productivity targets and participate in Ricoh Extra Value program opportunities.
Required Experience
- Requires extensive experience with technology services, including experience with computers, electronics, mechanics, networking, connectivity, and printing software.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and mobile technology is required.
- Requires a valid state driver's license and minimum level of auto insurance coverage per Ricoh policy for positions entailing extensive use of personal car while on company business.
Required Education
- High school diploma required.
- Additional courses or experience in computers, electronics, mechanics, and networking is desired.
Working Conditions
- Extensive daily travel in an automobile between customer locations is required.
- Travel may also include working outdoors or on foot in various weather conditions.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Physical demands include lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and moving objects up to 400 pounds.
- Requires frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, and working at various heights.
- Shift work, overtime, and on-call duties may be required.
- Periodic stress related to deadlines, performance expectations, and customer interactions.
