Vestas is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician II for the Cactus Flats site in Eden, TX. This full-time position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus. The ideal candidate will have experience in the wind industry or possess electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, or composite skills. This role involves performing maintenance and installation tasks on wind turbines, ensuring safety and high-quality work. You will be required to climb, carry tools, and work in varied weather conditions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and installation work on wind turbines under minimal supervision.
• Follow safety protocols and work according to defined schedules and procedures.
• Provide mentorship to entry-level technicians.
• Work in heights (up to 250 feet) and small spaces to complete maintenance and repairs.
• Use power tools and diagnostic equipment such as hydraulic, power torque, and Fluke meters.
• Communicate effectively with customers and collaborate with coworkers.
• Identify and suggest improvements to enhance safety and work quality.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of technical wind industry experience, OR Six (6) months of technical wind industry experience and completion of a wind technician program, OR At least 3 years of experience with electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, composite, or heavy machinery.
• Experience using intermediate-level power tools, including hydraulic tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills, including internet-based program navigation and data interpretation.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
• A  valid driver’s license

Required Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
