Job Description & Requirements

As a Senior Field Representative, you will specialize in servicing and repairing complex office equipment at customer locations within a designated territory. This role requires advanced technical expertise, proactive customer service, and the ability to provide second-level support to fellow technicians. Additional responsibilities may include team leadership or coordination. An industry certification is required.

Key Responsibilities Technical Expertise & Equipment Servicing

Perform diagnostics, installations, retrofits, and repairs on advanced office equipment, including B&W, color, and multifunctional devices.

Troubleshoot issues efficiently, replacing necessary components while ensuring peak performance.

Stay up-to-date with technical training on new equipment.

Demonstrate expertise in digital competencies related to assigned products.

Training & Mentorship

Provide on-the-job training for both new and experienced technicians.

Lead technical seminars as needed, sharing expertise to enhance team knowledge.

Serve as a role model, maintaining professionalism and positive influence within the organization.

Territory & Inventory Management

Take ownership of your assigned territory, ensuring optimal inventory control.

Back up the Field Technology Service Manager when necessary.

Collaborate with sales teams to identify equipment upgrade opportunities.

Maintain a well-managed “car stock” inventory for efficient service delivery.

Execute call-handling procedures effectively while adhering to territory backup plans.

Customer Relations & Service Excellence

Handle complex customer issues with professionalism and efficiency.

Act as the communication link for unresolved technical concerns.

Foster strong relationships with customers, ensuring high satisfaction levels.

Adhere to company policies while maintaining productive interactions with internal teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

Technical school completion with 3+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years in a Technology Service Consultant role.

Minimum 1 industry certification and sustained 2 years of meets/exceeds performance level.

Valid driver’s license and required auto insurance per company policy (for extensive travel roles).

Strong electro-mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills.

Excellent customer service abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands

Extensive daily travel between customer locations, occasionally requiring walking territories.

Potential exposure to minor cuts, burns, chemical solvents, and cleaners.

Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds and move wheeled equipment up to 400 pounds.

Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, and standing during installations and servicing.

Strong dexterity required for using hand tools and working with small electronic/mechanical components.
