Job Description & Requirements

Ferguson is currently seeking a Lead Valve Technician to join their team. This is an hourly role with a pay range of $21.20 – $33.93 per hour, and is bonus or incentive plan eligible. The position offers a stable Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with overtime as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assemble all automated valve packages.

  • Adhere to standard operating procedures for valve automation, ensuring safety and organization.

  • Properly use and maintain tools and equipment in the automation center.

  • Communicate courteously with inside/outside sales, management, and warehouse personnel.

  • Professionally address customer inquiries and concerns regarding automated packages.

  • Troubleshoot and repair automated packages both in-house and in the field.

  • Assist in developing an automated valve sales training program.

  • Perform functional testing of automated valves and document results.

  • Collaborate with inspectors to meet customer expectations.

Required Experience

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Basic computer knowledge.

  • Smartsheets experience strongly preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret customer technical data and schematics.

  • Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and inventory control.

  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a team-oriented mindset.

  • Positive attitude, excellent communication, and organizational skills.

  • Quick learner with strong time management capabilities.

Work Environment

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with overtime as needed.
