Job Description & Requirements
Environmental Technicians are the backbone of Clean Earth. You will join a team of dedicated professionals learning environmental regulations and handling hazardous materials removal from the waste stream. This physically active role involves lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, operating forklifts and mobile equipment to move containers, and completing documentation in compliance with regulations and company policies.
Primary Responsibilities

Consolidate, treat, store, transport, and/or dispose of hazardous waste following environmentally responsible and compliant practices.

Lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the day.

Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to move containers between storage, treatment areas, and trailers.

Complete required documentation accurately, timely, and legibly in accordance with applicable regulations and customer policies.
Required Experience
-
Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the workday.

Ability to stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods.

Visual acuity to read labels and documentation; depth perception to safely drive forklifts.

Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms.

Ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled environments.

Willingness and ability to wear company-issued personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator (no beards for respirator fit).

Ability to understand and respond to written and verbal English.

Ability to predictably and regularly attend work during scheduled hours, with willingness to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules as necessary.

Ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers.
Preferred Experience
-
Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment.

Basic computer skills to complete web-based training.
Required Education

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Work Environment
-
Physically active role requiring lifting, walking on uneven surfaces, and working outdoors in various climate conditions.

Indoor work environments may not be climate-controlled.
