Vestas is offering a $2,500 USD Sign-On Bonus for qualified candidates. As a Wind Turbine Technician II in Helena, TX, you’ll elevate your career by maintaining and installing wind turbines while promoting clean, renewable energy. Ideal candidates will already possess certifications from the Global Wind Organization (BST, BTT, and ART). This is a full-time role that combines mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills in a team-focused environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and installation work on assigned wind turbines with minimal supervision
• Follow defined schedules, safety protocols, and written/verbal instructions
• Provide mentorship to entry-level technicians when needed
• Climb up to 250 feet and work in confined spaces and variable weather conditions
• Handle tools, equipment, and parts to complete maintenance and repair tasks
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with customers
• Recommend improvements to enhance safety and work quality

Required Experience

• At least 1 year of technical wind industry experience
  OR
  Six (6) months of technical wind industry experience and a certificate from a wind technician program
  OR
  Three (3) years of experience in electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, composite skills, or heavy machinery
• Ability to climb stairs/ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs
• Proficient with intermediate-level power tools (e.g., Flukemeter, hydraulic pressure gauge)
• Basic computer operation and ability to interpret data and schematics
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Required Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Environment

• Work is conducted outdoors, often in poor weather conditions
• Requires climbing to heights of 250 feet and working in confined spaces
• Involves carrying heavy equipment and frequent physical activity
