Wind Turbine Technician II at Vestas is an intermediate-level position offering a $2,500 sign-on bonus. You will perform maintenance and installation work on wind turbines under minimal supervision, ensuring safety and quality in all tasks.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance and installation of wind turbines following defined schedules and procedures.
• Work safely at heights exceeding 250 feet and in confined spaces.
• Mentor entry-level technicians and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
• Recommend improvements to safety and work quality.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in wind energy or a related field.
• Alternatively, a wind certificate with 2-3 years of experience in a heavy industrial background.

Required Education

• Basic Safety Training (BST), Basic Technical Training (BTT), and Advanced Rescue Training (ART) certifications from the Global Wind Organization (GWO).

Working Conditions

• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, requiring physical activity such as climbing and carrying tools and equipment.
