Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and/or installation work on assigned wind turbines under minimal supervision.
  • Follow defined schedules, procedures, safety protocols, and verbal/written instructions.
  • Provide mentorship to entry-level technicians as needed.
  • Work at heights of up to 250 feet and in confined spaces to perform maintenance and repairs.
  • Operate in outdoor environments, often in adverse weather conditions.
  • Climb stairs and ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs. in weight.
  • Utilize intermediate-level power tools, such as hydraulic, power torque, and diagnostic tools.
  • Read, interpret, and understand drawings, schematics, and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and collaborate with co-workers.

Required Experience

  • At least 1 year of technical wind industry experience, OR
  • Six (6) months of technical wind industry experience with a certificate of completion from a wind technician program, OR
  • A minimum of three (3) years of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, composite skills, or heavy machinery experience.

Required Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment

  • Work performed at heights of up to 250 feet.
  • Exposure to outdoor elements, including extreme weather conditions.
  • Physical demands include climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
