Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician for our Lockport, NY operations. Our Maintenance Technicians are part of a highly skilled team responsible for ensuring large industrial equipment and systems are fully operational to support continuous production. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to workplace safety. Hourly pay rate: $28.40.

Primary Responsibilities

• Follow all plant safety rules and procedures, including wearing proper PPE.
• Install, repair, and service electrical and mechanical equipment on overhead cranes, production equipment, and other operational facilities.
• Perform construction, fabrication, rigging, pipefitting, and basic millwright work.
• Execute precision alignment of motors and other rotating equipment.
• Operate floor-controlled cranes, forklifts, manlifts, skid loaders, etc.
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs on AC and DC equipment up to 600 volts.
• Adjust equipment to ensure proper operating characteristics.
• Work in various plant areas with exposure to different environmental conditions (hot, cold, dirty, etc.), at heights, and in confined spaces.
• Be available for rotating shifts and overtime as needed in a 24/7 operation.
• Successfully complete a pre-employment mechanical maintenance skills assessment.

Required Experience

• At least two years of electrical and/or mechanical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Preferred Experience

• 2+ years of industrial electrical experience OR a 2-year associate's degree in industrial electricity or a related field.

Required Education

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

• Work in various environmental conditions (hot, cold, dirty, etc.), at heights, and in confined spaces.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, in a 24/7 operation.
