Job Description & Requirements

The Product Introduction (PI) Technician at Alstom will be responsible for troubleshooting products at customer sites, providing technical expertise to subcontractors and project teams, and mentoring less experienced field operators. This full-time position offers a pay rate of $37/hour.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Comply with Alstom and customer EHS policies and procedures at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot and investigate product issues during the PI period, pre-warranty, and commissioning activities.
  • Conduct fleet check activities and report deviations in the Failure Management database.
  • Support specific technical investigations in collaboration with Engineering or suppliers.
  • Ensure effective communication within the Troubleshooting and Customer Site Warranty team.
  • Assist with helpdesk activities as required.
  • Implement Field Modifications (FM) when necessary.
  • Contribute to the Return of Experience with recommendations for preventive and corrective actions.
  • Provide feedback to PI management on customer satisfaction and product performance.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of two years in technical roles related to mechanical or electrical/electronics applications.
  • Field experience with a structured, hands-on approach.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Required Education

  • A degree in a relevant field or substantial experience in mechanical, electrical/electronic, and IT fields.
  • Completion of internal EHS training.
  • Fluent in English communication skills.
