Job Description & Requirements
Ferguson is seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Counter Sales Representative. This role offers competitive compensation, hourly bonus potential, and a wide range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and opportunities for growth and advancement. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, with some overtime as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide advice to customers regarding the best products to fit their needs
- Process orders using the order management system
- Operate cash registers and follow established cash handling procedures
- Prepare and stage orders for customer pick-up
- Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards
- Ensure merchandise is restocked and placed correctly
- Maintain a safe working environment, including use of PPE
- May be responsible for back-up driver duties
Required Experience:
- 0–3 years of experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of products is preferred
- General computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise
- General math skills for cash accounting
- Excellent decision-making and communication skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid state-issued driver’s license required
- Pre-employment drug and background screening required

Work Environment:
- This position may require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday with some overtime as needed
