Job Description & Requirements

Ferguson is seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Counter Sales Representative. This role offers competitive compensation, hourly bonus potential, and a wide range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and opportunities for growth and advancement. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, with some overtime as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice to customers regarding the best products to fit their needs
  • Process orders using the order management system
  • Operate cash registers and follow established cash handling procedures
  • Prepare and stage orders for customer pick-up
  • Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards
  • Ensure merchandise is restocked and placed correctly
  • Maintain a safe working environment, including use of PPE
  • May be responsible for back-up driver duties

Required Experience:

  • 0–3 years of experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of products is preferred
  • General computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise
  • General math skills for cash accounting
  • Excellent decision-making and communication skills
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license required
  • Pre-employment drug and background screening required

Work Environment:

  • This position may require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday with some overtime as needed
