Job Description & Requirements

Your Future Role

  • Embrace a dynamic new challenge and apply your detail-oriented expertise within the advanced field of railway signaling and wayside systems. You’ll collaborate with dedicated, supportive teammates across our Vehicles and Wayside Signaling divisions.
  • In this role, you will lead the integration and functionality of railway wayside signaling systems. On a daily basis, you’ll partner with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Safety Validation, Planning, and Quality Assurance—to oversee installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Your key responsibilities will include system compliance checks, field test verification, and authoring test procedures and reports to support system validation.

We Will Look to You For:

  • Leading installation, testing, and commissioning efforts
  • Preparing Track Allocation access documentation for customer approval
  • Ensuring adherence to Alstom’s standards, regulatory requirements, and local laws
  • Verifying and validating system requirements and testing methodologies
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and developing sustainable, effective solutions
  • Providing transparent communication and reporting within the project team and to customers
  • Supporting planning, resource allocation, and team development
  • Delivering regular updates via KPIs and project reports; managing deviations, delays, and challenges impacting field activities
  • Recording Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), maintaining accurate test sheet logs, and collaborating with System Validation to support punch list closure
  • Using Installation and T&C processes, tools, and the Test & Commissioning Reference Library to drive performance improvements
  • Championing project milestone adherence
  • Designing and overseeing the project cut-over plan
  • Executing on-site activities with thoughtful planning and resource training—while complying with local regulations and EHS requirements
  • Conducting Post-Installation Check-Out (PICO), as well as Static and Dynamic tests, to verify correct functioning of vehicle and wayside equipment

All About You

We value passion and a proactive mindset over experience. You don’t need to match every criterion—however, the following will set you up for success:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering technology (or equivalent), ideally in electronics, electrical, computer, railway, or telecommunications disciplines
  • Familiarity with signaling projects and railway installation/testing processes
  • Solid understanding of electrical, electronic, and telecommunications systems
  • Experience or awareness of safety and EHS standards
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Flexibility and openness to short-term or extended assignments across locations
  • Willingness to work in field environments, including night shifts
  • A sharp analytical mind for diagnosing and resolving complex system issues
