The Wind Turbine Technician II position at Vestas offers an exciting opportunity to advance your career in the renewable energy industry. In this role, you'll receive a sign-on bonus of $2,500 USD / $3,300 CAD as appreciation for your expertise. You’ll be working with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems to maintain and install wind turbines while ensuring the safety of yourself and your team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and installation on wind turbines with minimal supervision.
• Work from defined schedules and procedures, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Mentor entry-level technicians when needed.
• Perform tasks at heights of up to 250 feet and in confined spaces.
• Handle tools, equipment, and parts to complete maintenance and repairs.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate with customers.
• Recommend improvements to safety and quality processes.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of technical wind industry experience, OR 6 months of experience along with a wind technician program certification, OR 3 years of experience in electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, composite skills, or heavy machinery.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with intermediate power tools (e.g., hydraulic, power torque, diagnostic tools like Flukemeter and hydraulic pressure gauge).
• Basic computer skills and ability to generate and interpret data.
•  A valid driver’s license

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment:

• Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Working at heights of up to 250 feet and in confined spaces.
• Requires physical tasks such as climbing, carrying tools, and moving parts.
